The challenge

The client approached us with a new business and a clear creative goal — to develop custom illustrations for specialty baby bibs, meant to protect the baby’s neckline when starting solids. These bibs were originally handmade by the founder for her own daughter, and the product had quickly evolved into something meaningful for other families as well. Our task was to create a collection of playful, whimsical, organic, child-like motifs with pops of color that would appeal to both babies and parents alike.

What we did

We created three custom themes: Harvest – a cheerful mix of soft, rounded fruits and veggies; Outer Space – a playful arrangement of rockets, planets, and stars floating through an imagined sky; and Desert – a gentle composition of lizards, armadillos, and blooming cacti set against sun-soaked terrain.

Each pattern was illustrated by hand, with a gentle flow and a playful, textured feel. As an addition to the main patterns featured on the front, we also created hand-drawn dot prints for the back side of the bibs. These were color-matched to each theme, adding a soft contrast and helping tie the whole product together through thoughtful, consistent detailing. The result is a joyful and intentional set of illustrations — inclusive, warm, and full of personality — brought to life through soft, printed fabric and transformed into specialty baby bibs made for everyday rituals.
